The prestigious JSPS Fellowship (Grants-in-Aids for Young Scientists) have opened.
As of April 1, 2024, students (DC) who are planning to attend the graduate school doctoral program and those who are less than 5 years after obtaining a doctoral degree (PD) are eligible.
To create an application, you need to apply for an ID and password.
Please fill in the attached “04 Attachment 2_Japan Society for Science Electronic Application System Applicant Information Registration Application Form” and address it to Kawauchi Campus Office Center Research Promotion Section ≪kawami-kensui@grp.tohoku.ac.jp≫ Please submit it by e-mail.
Once the ID and password are issued, we will return it to the email you sent as an attachment.
Please note that it may take some time due to the request to the headquarters for the collection. ID and password applications will be accepted during the application period, but please apply as soon as possible in consideration of the application deadline.
※ID and password for PD and DC will be issued after April 3.
Access the electronic application system with your ID and password and create an application form.
Deadline:
“RPD4/18 (Tuesday)” and “PD・DC5/8 (Monday)”.
Please submit it on the system. There is no need to submit paper media.
When applying, please refer to the attached “03-1 Attachment 1_Application Flow” and also check the following URL.

Once completed, the RPD will be available for access to the electronic application system in mid-March and for PD and DC in early April.

・In conjunction with the application of special researchers, an application for “Special Researcher Encouragement Grants (Kin-Aid for Scientific Research)” will be made. In addition, the application for the special researcher incentive fee will be made through the “Researcher Training Project Electronic Application System”.
・From this time on, the special researcher incentive fee will be applied as a fund event. If you do not apply this time, you will not be able to apply for recruitment after 2020 (2025), so if you wish to apply, please be sure to apply this time.
・Regarding the application category of the special researcher incentive fee, the conventional experimental and non-experimental classifications have been abolished, and new A and B divisions have been established.
